Agastya International Foundation Takes Home the Top Prize

Boise, Idaho, USA (June 7, 2021) — aRbotics LLC (dba databot™), a Boise, Idaho Educational Technology (EdTech) company today announced the winners of its spring ‘Bots for Thoughts Giveaway which was launched in January of this year.  The giveaway required entrants to take a “fast five” question survey on STEM education technology and then their organization was entered for one of three prizes totaling over $2,000.  Organizations were encouraged to spread the word to their staff so that more entries would give them better odds of winning.

The winning organizations were:

Grand Prize

The Agastya International Foundation, based in Bangalore, India, won the grand prize, a databot™ Classroom Pack valued at $1,750.  The Agastya Foundation, founded in 1999, has inspired over 15 million students in India through hands-on learning delivered by mobile labs, in science centers, and to classrooms.  Its mission is “to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and instill confidence” in economically disadvantaged children and government school teachers by bringing imaginative and innovative hands-on science education, project-based and peer-to-peer learning to schools, towns and villages across India. Shrishail Dhanawade – Innovation Leader at Agastya, said of the win, “Aah!, Aha! and Haha!  are fundamental to all learning and underpins what Agastya does with children. Burley Jr. High is home to approximately 500 amazing seventh and eighth graders,  35 fabulous teachers, and an awesome array of media center specialists, administration, counselors, and maintenance staff – all of whom are committed to making Burley one of the best places to live on the planet!  Marta Hernandez, the Burley High Jr. High teacher who won the lucky draw said “Absolutely an amazing experience for students to use during my summer school program!  Thank you so much for creating Student and Educator opportunities!!”

Laurette Jack, Director of the Eastview Club said of the win: “This is such a delightful surprise and a wonderful opportunity for our youth. We continuously seek the opportunities for our members to grow and learn with current technology. We are so thankful to Robert at databot™ and hope to have a long standing professional relationship that will add to our program efforts.”

Robert Grover, databot™ CEO said “we are thrilled and delighted to be shipping these prizes to these three awesome organizations. The Agastya International Foundation worked hard for it – we had over 50 entries from educators and supporters of the organization so we know databot™ is going to a good home there. Burley Jr. High is only a few hours away from our headquarters so we are planning to visit and provide in-person training when convenient, and we love the Boys and Girls Club organization where we volunteer. We are delighted that Laurette Jackson and her Club are a recipient. We will be doing this program again next year, bigger and better I am sure. There is nothing like hearing directly from your customers what they want to see in STEM education programs whether it is curriculum, capabilities, or support. This survey and its results are incredibly valuable to us and we thank all who participated.”
