License
The past decade has seen tremendous change in the educational industry landscape, with many free resources emerging that educators are taking advantage of in greater and greater numbers. At aRbotics, the manufacturer of databot™, we have elected to pursue an entirely free and open curriculum license. Educators are free to share, republish, print, and even sell commercial versions of the curriculum we are hosting. The only requirement is to follow the license requirements for attribution and properly cite the source.
Creative Commons
The Creative Commons community has grown into a remarkable resource for humanity as research, curriculum, cultural works, fiction, images, and more are released daily for free and unfettered use. If you are unfamiliar with Creative Commons, the organization provides a licensing framework for open source content. The collection now exceeds over 1 Billion items. The license we have selected, described below, was developed and curated by the Creative Commons organization. If you like this content and the model it builds, help out the organization with a small donation. aRbotics LLC is contributing a $25 donation for every curriculum module we license to help support this important work. You can learn more at the official website.
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License
At the end of each activity in our published modules you will see an Author Attribution section that looks like the following. Click on the license links to visit the Creative Commons site and view the license in detail. Our authors are passionate educators from all over the world who have contributed their time and effort to create some remarkable work that we can all benefit from. Take a minute to check out their Author page when you are using their materials and give them a silent nod of thanks. This stuff takes a lot of work!
